Ceramic Fuses (Sometimes called Continental Fuses)
Continental Fuses (Ceramic Type)
Although still manufactured and available, the ceramic type fuses were used to protect the electrical circuits in many (mostly) European forms of transport. It has a torpedo shaped (heat resistant) body, with the element (fuse wire) being visible and encapsulating the ends of the body. These fuse types may also be referred to as Bakalite, Bosch, or GBC fuses.
The dimension of the ceramic fuse is 6mm Diameter x 25mm in Length.
Amperage ratings range from 5amp to 40amp.
As with the ATO, MINI and MAXI blade fuses, the ceramic fuse is also colour-coded, but the colours are independent of the blade fuse type.
